The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women program is a global initiative providing women entrepreneurs with a business education, mentoring & networking, and access to capital. During its 10th anniversary in 2018, we wanted to reinstate our commitment to female entrepreneurs and strengthen associations with Goldman Sachs at a key moment for gender equality discussions in the news and culture. Our objective was to build awareness of the program and its global impact.
“When a Woman Leads” showcases a graduate of the program and paints the “CEO portrait” she deserves, literally and figuratively. The hero film follows the delivery of her portrait as we hear about her journey to business success. Through her personal story, we uncover a bigger truth: when women lead businesses, they do more than chase profits—they elevate their communities and pave paths for others to follow. In keeping with the spirit of the program itself, this campaign was created and produced by a predominantly-female team.
